PREMIERE MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING!

Judo, Taekwondo and Self-Defense taught by one of North America’s premiere martial arts instructors, 9th degree black belt, Grandmaster Kyu Ha Kim.

All disciplines are taught in a traditional manner to students of all ages and every walk of life.

Men, women and children at all levels of fitness are provided with the means to defend themselves, gain confidence, acquire discipline and become more physically fit.

  • Traditional instruction grounded in respect and etiquette is integrated with modern training methods to provide students with the highest level of instruction.
  • Grandmaster Kim has successfully taught in the Pittsburgh area for over forty years and enjoys an unparalleled reputation for honesty and integrity.  Grandmaster Kim has over fifty years of combined experience as a martial arts instructor in Korea and the US. 
  • Family oriented; generations of families can often be found training together.
  • Individuals with an interest in martial arts competition receive the instruction and coaching necessary for success in local, state, national and international competitions.  Grandmaster Kim has produced scores of Judo and Taekwondo champions at the state and national level, including an alternate member of the 1996 US Olympic Judo Team.

  • All classes are taught by Grandmaster Kim’s senior level instructors.

Congratulations, Conor & Wendie!

 

At the 2010 USA Judo Senior National Championships held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, May 1st & 2nd, Conor Driscoll placed 2nd in the men's 100+kg division and Wendie Garbett placed 3rd in the womens's +78kg division. An extremely impressive showing for our veteran judoka. In their respective divisions, Conor is currently ranked 3rd and Wendie is ranked 4th in the United States! What an exceptional accomplishment!

And, as one of the top two in his division, Conor has earned the right to represent the United States in the upcoming Judo Senior World Championships to be held September
9th - 13th in the birthplace of Judo, Tokyo, Japan.
We will be cheering him on every step of the way!


 

Schedule Changes!!! - Effective immediately, the following changes will be made to the schedules at the Brentwood and/or Cranberry Schools:
Tae Kwon Do

The Saturday TKD class at the Brentwood school will no longer be an advanced only class. It is now the JR/SR format and all participants are welcome. The strictly advanced format will be reserved for the monthly Black Belt Workshops.

Please check the schedule page for class changes at the Cranberry dojo. Fall schedule will go into effect August 23.

Judo / Jiu-Jitsu

Effective September 10th, the Friday evening Judo class at the Brentwood school will resume under the direction of
Master Eugene Kim.

Beginning Saturday, March 6th, a new Grappling/Ground Fighting class will be offered at the Brentwood Dojo at 9:00am. Also added will be a new Judo Groundwork class on Tuesday & Thursday evenings. Check the schedule page for details.
